LTC rules relaxed for Central Govt employees visiting JK

Government has decided to relax LTC rules by permitting Central govt employees to travel by any airlines to visit Jammu and Kashmir.

All officers and employees of the Central government will be allowed to avail LTC to visit the state against "conversion of one block of their home town LTC", an order issued by the government said.

Officers and employees of the Centre entitled to travel by air can avail this LTC in their entitled class, it said.

All other employees of Central government can travel by air in economy class from Delhi and Amritsar to any place in J and K by any airlines subject to their entitlement being limited to fares of Air India, the order said.

Journey from their place of posting upto Delhi/Amritsar will have to be undertaken as per their entitlement.

  4. i am a fresh recruit as a Engineer in NPCIL i have joined in 2009 whether i am eligible to visit NER /J&K
    against my hometown ,,answer me at my email please and i want all rules regarding to fresh recruits .

    I am working as an Assistant Librarian (PB3) in a central university in Assam. I joined service on 19-04-2010, so, as per rule i will be eligible for LTC on 19-04-2011. so, my question is that, can I convert my 1st "Home Town LTC" to "Any where in India"?

    I Joined NIC on Jan 12 2010.And as per rules have completed one year so eligible for home down LTC.
    Now my question is whether this home town LTC can be used to travel to NER/J&K.
    If yes then out of the three home town LTC's which one can be converted or how many of them will be converted to NER/J&K?
    Would appreciate relevant orders so that this thing can be proved in my office too.

  10. I live in Kolkata and I work at O/o Pr. CCA, Kolkata in Grade pay of Rs. 2800. Now my question is if I can avail LTC from Kolkata to Delhi by rail and from Delhi to Srinagar by air since air is admissible from Delhi to J&K by conversion of one block year home town LTC as per order.

    i joined in postal dept... on 30/3/2010...as per rules hav completed one and half year service so eligible for home town LTC.

    Now my doubt is whether this home town LTC for new recruites can be used to travel to NER/J & K.

    If any one knows this info please reply same would be submitted in my office.
